چکیده

Beating of monopole modes in nuclear dynamics. Abstract Time-dependent Hartree-Fock simulations of the evolution of excited gold fragments have been performed. The observed dynamics appears more complex than the collective expansion picture. The minimum density is often not reached during the first density oscillation because of the beating of several collective compression modes.

The Compression Modes in Nuclei - an Experimental Review

The systematics of data on the giant monopole resonance in nuclei is reviewed. The results on the monopole frequency are discussed in terms of the nuclear compressibilities for spherical nuclei. Deformation effects and isotopic effects on the monopole mode are also reviewed and discussed, The recent experimental evidences for an isoscalar giant dipole resonance are surveyed and discussed. Prosp...

Monopole Giant Resonances and TDHF boundary conditions

Using time-dependent Hartree-Fock, we induce isoscalar and isovector monopole vibrations and follow the subsequent vibrations of both the same and opposite isospin nature in the N 6= Z nucleus Sn. By suitable scaling of the proton and neutron parts of the excitation operators, the coupling between the modes is studied, and the approximate normal modes found. Chaotic dynamics are then analysed i...

Impact of environmentally induced fluctuations on quantum mechanically mixed electronic and vibrational pigment states in photosynthetic energy transfer and 2D electronic spectra.

Recently, nuclear vibrational contribution signatures in two-dimensional (2D) electronic spectroscopy have attracted considerable interest, in particular as regards interpretation of the oscillatory transients observed in light-harvesting complexes. These transients have dephasing times that persist for much longer than theoretically predicted electronic coherence lifetime. As a plausible expla...

Relativistic mean-field dynamics of giant resonances

Models based on quantum hadrodynamics provide a consistent description of the nuclear many-body system in terms of interacting baryons and mesons. In the self-consistent mean-field approximation, the time-dependent model has been applied in the analysis of the dynamics of giant resonances. The calculated excitation energies and transition densities of isoscalar giant monopole resonances, restri...

Isoscalar compression modes in relativistic random phase approximation

A fully consistent relativistic RPA calculation is performed for the monopole and dipole compression modes in nuclei. The emphasis is put on the effects of Dirac sea states which are generally neglected in relativistic RPA calculations. It is found that these effects can be quite important for the isoscalar monopole mode. The main contributions from the pairs of Fermi to Dirac sea states are th...
